We make finding the best mortgage deal quick and easy!

mortgagebrokers.ca was established in 2002 to help make it easier for Canadians to find the best available deal on their mortgage. At the time, only one in five people were using a mortgage broker for their mortgage. mortgagebrokers.ca's goal was to communicate the important advantages of dealing with a mortgage broker (click Why use a mortgage broker) and help Canadians locate Preferred brokers in their area. Today, almost one in three Canadians relies on a broker for a mortgage. And while there are thousands of brokers across the country, only a few dozen qualify as Preferred brokers who are eligible to be listed on our site.

How we select our brokers

Preferred mortgage brokers cannot simply pay to be listed on mortgagebrokers.ca. We include only those brokers with truly superior credentials, experience, integrity, market knowledge and customer service (click What's a Preferred broker for full eligibility criteria). No preference is given to brokers who work with a particular brokerage firm--you'll find Preferred brokers under virtually every company banner, as well as brokers who work as local independents. Since none of them work for lenders, their advice is unbiased and focused on your best interests. There are a select few Preferred brokers in most cities across Canada.

How our process works

First and foremost, we want you to be completely comfortable using mortgagebrokers.ca. You'll never be asked to provide financial information on this site. The only information requested is your name and contact details so your local Preferred mortgage broker can contact you at your convenience. None of this information is ever sold or provided to any organization, other than the Preferred broker you select.

Here's what will happen if you choose to use mortgagebrokers.ca:

You'll be asked for your postal code so we can search for the Preferred mortgage brokers in your area.

A list of Preferred brokers will be displayed, along with their photo, information about them and their business, and a Contact me now link.

If you choose to click Contact me now, you'll be asked to provide your name and contact information, including email address, telephone number, and the city and province you live in. When you click Submit, that information goes directly to the Preferred broker you've selected.

That Preferred broker will then contact you to discuss your mortgage needs. If you're comfortable proceeding, your Preferred broker will offer you a no-obligation mortgage consultation, which involves analyzing your current situation and needs, and providing unbiased advice. Only when you're ready and fully comfortable will a mortgage application form be completed.
